No matter what I do, the subscriber signup page will not work for me.
In most circumstances, this is due to problems with software running on your computer. Popular firewall software can interfere with the subscription process. Check its configuration to be sure it is allowing cookies to be set on your computer. For internet transactions to be secure, servers must deliver cookies to accessing computers so that your computer can be correctly identified during the transaction process. The solution is to allow all cookies during the transaction. If you use Zone Alarm firewall software, you may have to disable it in order for the transaction to complete.

If you are not using firewall software and still cannot complete the ordering process, please send email to subscribers@unknowncountry.com. Let us know, as specifically as possible, what occurs when you try to order, as well as what web browser and operating system you are using.

Privacy and security are valid concerns when shopping online, but cookies are a necessary and generally harmless component of many web technologies. A cookie can only contain textual information, not code. Most cookies, especially those used in online transactions, expire automatically at the completion of the ordering process or when you close your browser. They are generally used for keeping track of your shopping cart, so the order can be processed correctly. Other common uses of cookies include remembering user preferences and configuration data. In the vast majority of situations, cookies are not tools to invade your privacy, but rather a means to make your shopping and browsing more useful, efficient and enjoyable.

Please also note that javascript must be enabled for the transaction to proceed.

Do I need to resubscribe when my subscription runs out?
No, your credit card will be rebilled automatically as long as you keep the expiration date current and the card has enough credit on it.

My password has quit working. What do I do?
DON'T try to solve this problem by resubscribing. This will result in your having two subscriptions that will both be re-billed automatically.

The first step is to write to us at subscribers@unknowncountry.com. Your password may have expired, which means that your subscription is not current and needs to be reinstated. Usually, this means that your credit card has been declined. We have no way of telling why a card is declined. The most common reason is that it has passed its expiration date. Let us know when it's working again and we will rebill you manually. If your subscription is not working and you wish to change credit cards, resubscribe using the new card. The old subscription will not be rebilled.

I know I'm entering my password correctly, but it still won't work.
99% of people who have this problem are experiencing a bug in Internet Explorer. At some point you entered a wrong password and IE is continuing to use it even though you have re-entered it correctly. The way to solve this problem is to go to Tools, Internet Options, Delete Cookies. Then close IE and open it again. Input your password and username exactly as they appeared when you created your subscriber account. If you need assistance with your password, please write to us at subscribers@unknowncountry.com.

I did all that and I still have a problem.
Be sure that your Internet Explorer is set to medium security and that you accept cookies. If you have a firewall, make sure that it allows cookies from our site. Any secure transaction requires communication with your computer. The fact that we are sending you cookies does not mean that you are receiving spyware or ad bugs from us. Unknowncountry.com does not transmit any privacy abusive software or reveal customer information to third parties.

If none of the suggestions above have solved your problem, send subscribers@unknowncountry.com a specific and detailed description of what is occuring. Include your full name, email address and order ID number if you have it. We will research your problem and get back to you as soon as possible. (Usually under 24 hours.)
